Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream contains mepyramine maleate, an antihistamine that works by blocking histamine, the natural substance responsible for allergic reactions. This helps to relieve pain, itching, swelling, and inflammation caused by insect bites, stings, and nettle rash.
Anthisan is widely recommended for the relief of:
Insect bites – including mosquitoes, midges, fleas, and horseflies
Stings – including bees, wasps, and hornets
Nettle rash – irritation and itching caused by contact with nettles
Mild allergic skin reactions
It is most effective when applied as soon as possible after a bite or sting.
Apply the cream directly to the affected area of skin
Use 2-3 times daily for up to 3 days
Do not apply on eczema, broken skin, or sunburnt areas
Avoid using on large areas of skin
Not recommended for children under 2 years of age
