Videne Surgical Scrub 7.5% is a licensed topical antiseptic solution containing povidone-iodine 7.5% w/w, designed for pre-operative hand and skin disinfection in surgical and clinical settings. It is used to reduce the risk of infection by eliminating a wide range of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and spores when applied to hands, forearms or surgical sites.

Wet hands and forearms thoroughly with water.
Apply a measured volume of Videne Surgical Scrub.
Scrub hands, forearms and under fingernails with the solution for at least 2 minutes, using a brush if necessary.
Rinse thoroughly under running water until free of visible film.
Clean the surgical site first.
Wet the area, apply the scrub, and lather for approximately 2 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with sterile or clean water.
Allow to air dry before applying drapes or incision.

Active: Povidone-iodine 7.5% w/w (equivalent to approx. 8.25 mg iodine/ml).
Other ingredients: Alkyl phenol ether sulphate (ammonium salt), macrogol 400, coco-amide diethanolamide, glycerol, povidone K90, citric acid, anhydrous disodium hydrogen phosphate, water for injection.
For external use only. Do not use on newborns, during pregnancy or breastfeeding without specific medical guidance.
Do not use if you have a known allergy to povidone-iodine, iodine or any excipients.
Use with caution in patients with thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism), renal impairment, or large/very extensive wounds – excess iodine absorption may affect thyroid or renal function.
Avoid use if the patient is already exposed to other strong iodine-based antiseptics or treatments.

Store below 30 °C, in the original container, and protect from direct sunlight. Shelf life: as stated on label.
