Description
What Are Tee2 Test Strips and Their Uses?
Tee2 Blood Glucose Test Strips are a vital component of the Tee2 brand Blood Glucose Monitoring System, designed for the quantitative measurement of glucose levels in whole blood. These test strips are compatible with Tee2 brand Blood Glucose Meters and are intended for self-testing outside the body, known as in vitro diagnostic use. It’s important to note that Tee2 Blood Glucose Monitoring System should not be utilized for diagnosing diabetes or testing newborns. The principle behind Tee2 Test Strips involves the reaction of glucose in blood samples with chemicals embedded in the test strip, resulting in the generation of a small electrical current. The Tee2 Blood Glucose Meter detects this electrical current, providing a reflection of the glucose level in the blood sample.
How to Use Tee2 Test Strips:
- Wash hands and the sampling site thoroughly with soap and warm water. Ensure proper rinsing and drying.
- Insert the test strip with the contact bars facing up into the port of the meter. Gently push in the strip until the meter emits a beep, indicating proper insertion.
- Once inserted, the meter will display a symbol indicating readiness for the blood sample.
- Use a lancing device to obtain a blood sample. The sample should be at least 0.5 µL to fill the test strip’s confirmation window. Apply the blood sample to the edge of the narrow end of the test strip until the meter emits another beep. Inadequate filling of the confirmation window may result in an Er4 message.
- The meter will initiate a countdown from five-to-one on the display. Once complete, the test results, along with the time and date, will be displayed and automatically stored in the meter’s memory. Remove the used test strip from the port, and the meter will turn off after three seconds.
Before Using Tee2 Test Strips:
- Patients undergoing oxygen therapy may experience inaccurate results.
- Keep test strips and the vial away from children, as they may pose choking hazards. Drying agents in the vial cap may also be harmful if inhaled, swallowed, or cause skin or eye irritation.
- Test strips are for single-use only; do not attempt to reuse them.
- If a test strip fails to absorb the blood sample properly, contact your authorized i-SENS sales representative for assistance.
