Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine, available at MedCare Health Clinic, is formulated with the active ingredient guaifenesin, which belongs to a group of medicines known as cough expectorants. This medication works by transforming an unproductive cough into a more productive one, reducing its frequency and making it easier to expel phlegm.

Before You Take Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine

Do not take this medicine if:

  • You are allergic (hypersensitive) to guaifenesin or any other ingredients in the medication.

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if:

  • You have had a persistent cough for an extended period or if you suffer from asthma, or are experiencing an asthma attack.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Important Information About Some of the Ingredients:

  • If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to certain sugars, such as sorbitol and maltitol, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
