Description
Rizatriptan is a triptan medicine for rapid relief of acute migraine attacks in adults. It narrows dilated brain blood vessels and reduces migraine-triggering substances, helping relieve severe head pain, nausea, and light/sound sensitivity—often within 30 minutes to 2 hours.
What Is Rizatriptan?
A selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist used after migraine starts. It’s not for prevention.
How It Works
By constricting cranial blood vessels and inhibiting pro-inflammatory neuropeptides, rizatriptan reduces migraine pain and associated symptoms.

Directions for Use
- Take at first sign of migraine (can still help later).
• Swallow whole with water.
