Numark Diarrhoea Relief Instants 2mg Orodispersible Tablets provide fast, effective control of sudden diarrhoea. The quick-dissolving tablets melt on the tongue for rapid relief, making them ideal for use at home or on the go.
Numark Diarrhoea Relief Instants contain loperamide hydrochloride 2mg, an antidiarrhoeal medicine used to provide short-term relief from sudden, acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over.
These orodispersible tablets dissolve instantly on the tongue, making them ideal when water is not available or during travel.
For acute diarrhoea: Adults and children of 12 years and over 2 tablets are to be taken initially, followed by 1 tablet after each loose motion. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24 hours. Do not take for more than 48 hours.
For diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome, which has been diagnosed by a doctor: Adults aged 18 years and over only: 2 tablets to be taken initially, followed by 1 tablet after each loose motion, or as previously directed by your doctor. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24 hours. You can take this medicine for up to 2 weeks for repeated attacks but do not take it for any one attack lasting longer than 48 hours. If symptoms change, worsen or do not improve after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Like all medicines, Loperamide Capsules can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Side effects reported with greater frequency: constipation and dizziness.
Stop taking your medicine and contact your doctor immediately or the nearest hospital if you experience the following (very rare side effects): Allergic reactions can produce swelling of the face, eyes, tongue and/or lips, difficulty breathing and/or swallowing or itching; Severe skin rashes including blistering of skin, mouth, eyes and genitals; Severe tummy pains with bloating/swelling or increasing diarrhoea particularly if this contains blood.
