Drapolene Nappy Rash Cream is a smooth, pink antiseptic cream formulated with benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide, which help prevent bacterial growth and protect the skin. It is primarily used to prevent and treat nappy rash in babies, but it can also be used for adults with incontinence to relieve urinary dermatitis. Additionally, Drapolene Cream can provide relief from minor burns, mild sunburn, and sore skin caused by exposure to weather.

Suitable for both babies and adults
Nappy rash affects up to one-third of babies and toddlers at any given time. Causes include:
Skin in contact with urine or stool for prolonged periods
Infrequent nappy changes or inadequate cleaning
Soaps, detergents, or bubble baths with irritants
Alcohol-based baby wipes
Skin sensitivity after infection or antibiotics
Following preventive measures, such as changing nappies promptly and allowing air exposure, will reduce the risk. Drapolene Cream further supports skin healing and protection.
Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
Apply a thin layer of Drapolene Cream, paying attention to skin folds.
For nappy rash: apply at each nappy change.
For urinary dermatitis: use regularly as needed.
For minor burns, sunburn, or weather-related irritation: apply as required.
If a dose is missed, apply at the next opportunity.
Using too much cream is not harmful; if ingested accidentally, seek medical advice immediately.
Do not use if allergic to benzalkonium chloride, cetrimide, or any other ingredients.
Drapolene Cream does not interfere with other medications.
Avoid using on acne-prone skin, as it can worsen the condition by blocking pores.
Active ingredients:
Benzalkonium chloride 0.01% w/w
Cetrimide 0.2% w/w
Other ingredients:
White soft paraffin, lanolin, cetyl alcohol, polawax, chlorocresol, amaranth (E123), purified water.
Rarely, Drapolene Cream may cause skin irritation, redness, rash, or itching. If irritation persists or worsens, stop use and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
Drapolene Cream is not a substitute for antifungal creams. Fungal nappy rashes require specific treatments such as Canesten Nappy Rash Cream.
Using Drapolene as a barrier cream after preventive measures can help reduce future nappy rash outbreaks.
