Description

What Is Canesten Thrush Soft Gel Pessary?

Canesten Thrush Soft Gel Pessary 500mg is a single-dose antifungal treatment used to clear vaginal thrush (candida infection).
It contains clotrimazole, an azole antifungal medicine that kills Candida albicans – the yeast responsible for thrush.

The soft gel pessary is designed for comfort and easy insertion, dissolving overnight to relieve itching, soreness, and discharge at the source of infection.

Canesten Thrush Soft Gel Pessary Key Benefits

  • Single-dose treatment – no repeat dosing required

  • Clinically proven antifungal action with clotrimazole 500mg

  • Provides fast, effective relief from vaginal itching, soreness, and discharge

  • Soft, smooth capsule designed for gentle insertion and comfort

  • Suitable for women aged 16-60 who have previously had thrush diagnosed

  • Can be used with Canesten 2% Cream for external itching relief

How Canesten Pessary 500mg Works

The active ingredient clotrimazole destroys the cell membrane of Candida yeast, stopping its growth and killing the fungus.
Inserted directly into the vagina, the soft gel pessary dissolves gradually to release the medication at the infection site, ensuring targeted antifungal action where it’s needed most.

Most women experience improvement within a few days of treatment.
