Description

Why Do You Need to Give Abidec Multivitamin Drops?

During the first years of life, your child’s body grows rapidly – and with that comes a high demand for essential vitamins. Many babies and toddlers don’t always get enough nutrients from diet alone, particularly if they’re breastfed or fussy eaters.

Abidec Multivitamin Drops have been specially formulated to provide seven essential vitamins that support healthy growth, bone development, and immune system function. These daily drops ensure your child receives the nutrients they need to thrive every day.

The Department of Health recommends that all children aged 6 months to 5 years take daily vitamin supplements containing vitamins A, C, and D. You can read more about this on the NHS vitamins for children page.

How Abidec Multivitamin Drops Work

Abidec Multivitamin Drops contain a balanced blend of seven key vitamins:

Vitamin Function
Vitamin A Supports healthy vision, skin, and immune function
Vitamin D2 Helps with calcium absorption and bone development
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) Aids normal nerve and muscle function
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) Helps release energy from food
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) Supports normal brain development and red blood cell formation
Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) Maintains healthy skin and energy metabolism
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) Strengthens the immune system and helps absorb iron

These water-soluble vitamins are quickly used up or lost, so a daily dose is important to maintain optimal levels.

Before You Give Abidec Multivitamin Drops

Do not use Abidec if your child:

  • Is allergic to peanuts, soya, or any of the ingredients, as the drops contain arachis (peanut) oil

  • Is already taking other vitamin supplements

  • Drinks more than 500 ml of formula milk daily, as it already contains sufficient vitamin A

  • Has been advised by a healthcare professional not to take additional vitamins

Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

If your child experiences persistent coughing, choking, or swelling after taking Abidec, seek medical advice immediately.
